COMPOST

Food scraps and organic materials comprise of a large percentage of waste in landfills and as they decompose release methane, trapping heat in the atmosphere. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas 28 to 36 times more effective than CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere over a 100-year period1. An important way to divert organic material waste from landfills is through composting. Please ensure you recycle all organics such as food scraps, food-soiled paper, and flowers properly. Do not use any kind of plastics for any type of green waste, all organic material should be placed loosely or inside paper bags for composting.
